| Debra A. Castillo is Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow, Emerson Hinchliff Professor of Hispanic Studies and Professor of Comparative Literature. She also directs the Latin American Studies Program. In her teaching and research, she specializes in contemporary narrative of the Americas, gender studies, and post-colonial literary theory. Among the courses she teaches regularly are Hispanic Theater Production (Teatrotaller) http://instruct1.cit.cornell.edu/courses/spanl301/, Latin American Women Writers, U.S. Latino Prose, and Hispanic Feminisms. Her most recent book is the co-edited volume (with Comparative Literature alum Kavita Panjabi) Cartographies of Affect: Across Borders in South Asia and the Americas (Worldview Press 2010).
